This project was a major renovation to an inner city townhouse, the clients were after an industrial feel to the interior and kitchen cabinetry. The small foot print of the space prompted clever spatial planning in the very early stages prior to demolition. The inclusion of a good food preparation area, clever storage solutions and a custom breakfast table enabled me to satisfy their brief. The addition of a small butler’s pantry created a space for all unsightly appliances, giving the main working kitchen more of a furniture style look. A combination of dark veneer cabinets and burnished concrete bench-tops added texture with the addition of blackbutt timber highlights for warmth creating an inviting space for the family to enjoy.
